Professional Bio:
Currently studying Illustration at the University for the Creative Arts (UK), Björn is a 19 year old multi-disciplinary artist. He grew up in Singapore performing as well as playwriting in amateur and professional shows with local Singaporean theater companies such as Pangdemonium And WILD RICE, debuting in several devised shows as well as pantos and musicals. Along with performance and writing, he grew up playing the Baritone Saxophone and Drums, as well as doing art in High School. His heavy performance, musical, and writing foundations further helped him when he decided to shift to visual arts for his undergraduate degree, where he combines his lessons learned in previous disciplines to create compelling and powerful work that mixes mediums, his favorite of which is Graphic Novels and Comics where he combines his skills in art and writing. He is of mixed Taiwanese and American ethnicity, and often uses aspects of his cultural identity to influence his works as well as tackles ideas of social issues and identity.
