This will be Ava's third summer at Camp Ballibay and she feels incredibly lucky to be returning to her home away from home again this year! After having such a wonderful experience as a cabin counselor, Ava is thrilled to be taking on the role of Up-the-Hill Division Head this summer. She will also be continuing her role as a Food Education counselor, and is really looking forward to be back teaching, baking and laughing everyday! One of her favorite things about Ballibay is that she not only gets to teach campers, but also be taught by them! She loves getting to share in all of the joy that camp has to offer, and feels really fortunate to be working alongside an extremely talented and welcoming community of people. Ava can't wait to see all of the returning campers again and is super excited to welcome lots of new ones!

Professional Bio:
Ava has recently graduated from Durham University in the UK, with a Bachelors of Science in Mathematics. During her studies she was a member of her university’s charity committee, which gave her the opportunity to chair a number of events and fundraising campaigns, which she enjoyed immensely. She took a Food and Nutrition course during her secondary education, in which she first discovered her passion for cooking and baking. Since then, she has continued to bake frequently and particularly enjoys being able to share her food and recipes with others. Ava also loves using her spare time to make her own clothes either by sewing or crochet - a hobby she picked up during her first summer at Ballibay!
